From September 21st thru September 25th we stayed in Coeur d’Alene Idaho, immediately falling in love with this beautiful state. Those of you who have been here before will recognize pictures of The Coeur d’Alene Resort, known for having the world’s largest floating dock and its famous floating green on the golf course. Not golfers -yet-, we didn’t experience the 7-minute boat ride to the 14th hole, but we did view it from the bike trail. (Almost as cool, right?) There is plenty to do in town (eat, drink, shop), and the folks here are so darned nice. We actually spent a few days wandering through the various neighborhoods thinking we just may be back here more permanently one day.
While in Coeur d’Alene, we took a day trip up to Sandpoint with the bikes. On a trail full of spiderwebs, we rode for about 3 miles each way, looking out at Lake Pend Oreille.
